Recirculating Pumps in the East Valley, AZ

Turn on the shower, then wait. In a big house, or one where the water heater sits at the far end, the cold water in the pipes has to run down the drain before hot water shows up. OX Plumbing installs hot water recirculating pumps across Mesa and the East Valley, so hot water gets to the tap fast.
A recirculating pump sends the cooled water back to the water heater to be heated, so you get hot water without the wait and less water down the drain. Call us to talk it through, or read how a recirculating pump works.
Which Setup Fits Your House?

Most homes don't have a dedicated hot water return line, and that's fine. There's more than one way to do it:
- Dedicated return line: a third line carries water from the far fixtures back to the heater, next to the hot and cold lines.
- Bypass valve, no return line: a valve at the fixture farthest from the heater lets cooled water flow back through the cold line.
- Built-in pump: some tankless water heaters come with a recirculation pump inside.
We look at where your water heater is and how the lines run, then recommend the setup that fits.
Run It When You Need It

- On demand: press a button, or a motion sensor turns it on, and the pump runs until the water is hot.
- Timer: the pump runs only at set times, like weekday mornings.
- Always on: convenient, but ENERGY STAR warns it can use more energy than it saves.
Replacing a water heater or going tankless? That's the easiest time to add recirculation. Ask about it when we quote the job.
