Question 1

Is San Tan Valley water hard?

Accepted Answer

Yes. EPCOR's 2025 water quality reports for its San Tan systems list 15 to 18 grains per gallon, and EPCOR rates anything above 10.5 grains per gallon as very hard. It isn't a health concern, but it builds scale in water heaters, fixtures, and valves. Your water provider's annual report lists the exact figure for your system.

Question 2

Do I need a water softener in San Tan Valley?

Accepted Answer

You don't have to have one, but at this hardness a softener or regular descaling helps protect water heaters, tankless units, and fixtures. We can look at your setup and explain the options with no pressure.

Question 3

Which San Tan Valley ZIP codes do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve homes across 85140, 85143, and 85144, which the Postal Service introduced in 2023 for part of San Tan Valley. We also serve neighboring Queen Creek, Florence, Gilbert, and Mesa.

Question 4
