Tankless Installation in the East Valley, AZ

A tankless water heater heats water as it flows instead of keeping a tank hot all day. OX Plumbing installs Rinnai, Rheem and Navien tankless water heaters, gas and electric, across Mesa and the East Valley, including tank-to-tankless conversions.
We size the unit for your home, run the gas, water and venting right, and pull the permit when the city requires one. Call us to talk it through, or see all our water heater services.
Tank to Tankless Conversions

Swapping a tank for a tankless unit is more than a one-for-one replacement. A gas tankless heater burns much more gas while it runs than a tank does, so the details matter:
- Gas line size: the line often has to be upsized so the heater gets enough gas. See our gas line services.
- Venting and location: tankless units need their own venting and a spot on a wall, inside or in an exterior recess box.
- Service valves: isolation valves on the water lines make the yearly descaling quick.
- Permit: we pull it when the city requires one.
Gas or Electric?

Gas tankless is the usual choice for a whole home that already has gas: it keeps up with several showers and appliances at once. Electric tankless works where there's no gas or for a single bathroom or point of use, but whole-home electric units draw a lot of power.
One thing we don't do: electrical. If an electric unit needs a bigger circuit or panel work, an electrician handles that part; we'll tell you what the model calls for before you buy.
Keeping It Running in Hard Water

East Valley water is hard, and scale on the heat exchanger is the main reason tankless units lose output or throw error codes. A regular descaling flush keeps it running; see how to flush a tankless water heater. A water softener helps protect it.
